Arizona state record
What the inspections show
In Arizona, the Department of Health Services licenses assisted living homes and communities, inspects them and looks into complaints. Its record for each one is public on AZ Care Check (this home's record, opens in a new tab).
The state cited one deficiency at its last routine inspection (December 18, 2025, a visit that also looked into a complaint). 55% of similar communities had 1 or fewer at theirs.
The routine inspection before it (2024) cited the same number.
Two complaint inspections in the past two years led to a citation, and five others found nothing to cite. 50% of similar communities had 2 or fewer.
No enforcement action by ADHS in the past two years. The same is true of 33% of similar communities.
Across 10 inspections since September 2023, the state never cited the same area twice.
ADHS accepted its plan to correct each of the 6 deficiencies cited in the past two years.

How the figures above are counted
- Routine figures: 72 licensed assisted living centers with 100 or more beds in the Phoenix and Tucson areas whose last routine inspection, between September 2024 and September 2026, also looked into a complaint.
- Complaint and enforcement figures: 84 licensed assisted living centers with 100 or more beds in the Phoenix and Tucson areas licensed for the whole period, September 2024 to September 2026.
- A complaint inspection counts here when it cited at least one deficiency.
- Most ADHS enforcement actions are civil penalties (fines).
- An area is one section of Arizona's assisted living rules, such as Medication or Service plans.
- Counts only: ADHS does not rate or rank homes, and neither do we.

Overview
In our words
Paseo Village is licensed at the directed care level, the highest of the three ADHS assisted living tiers, which is meant for residents who cannot direct their own care, for example because of dementia or other cognitive impairment.
According to its website, the community is run by ViewPoint Senior Care, a company based in Phoenix, Arizona. It describes specialized dementia care for residents with moderate to severe cognitive impairment, and a separate secured area called The Crossings for residents with behaviors who do not have dementia. Staff get dementia care training every week, and the company calls its approach to care non-pharmacological.
The website also says the community accepts private pay and ALTCS, and that residents placed on hospice stay on and keep being cared for there. Suites have private bathrooms in 2 floor plan layouts, and behind a secured perimeter the grounds hold a shaded patio, courtyard space and walking paths. It lists a restaurant-style dining room as well, with scheduled outings and transportation, a beauty and barber salon, and linen and laundry service.
Paseo Village is the trade name, and ADHS records show the license held by VIEW POINT OF PASEO VILLAGE, LLC. Its website gives the company as ViewPoint Senior Care, based in Phoenix, Arizona.
