We help you understand the benefit
We explain in plain language what Aid and Attendance is, how it can be put toward the cost of care, and the kinds of service and care needs that may qualify, so you know whether it is worth pursuing.
If you cared for our country, you have earned care in return. Aid and Attendance is a monthly VA pension benefit that can help a wartime veteran or surviving spouse pay for assisted living, memory care, or in-home care. Here is how it works, and how we help.
Aid and Attendance is an increased monthly VA pension benefit, added on top of the basic Veterans or Survivors Pension, for those who need help with daily activities or are housebound. It is paid in cash to the eligible person, so it can be put toward the cost of assisted living, memory care, in-home care, or nursing care. We help families understand whether it may help offset the cost of care for a wartime veteran or their surviving spouse.
Eligibility depends on service history, care needs, income, and assets, and it is decided by the VA, not by us. In general, the following points describe who may qualify:
These are general possibilities, not a determination. Only the VA, with the help of an accredited agent or Veterans Service Officer, can confirm eligibility for a specific person. You can review current eligibility rules and rates at va.gov.
Our Chief Operating Officer, David Piontek, is a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran with a master's degree in gerontology. A former case manager in long-term care, assisted living, hospice, and memory care, he understands both the realities of military service and the care needs of older adults. National publications like Forbes Health have turned to that expertise, and so can your family.
Our Chief Operating Officer, David Piontek, was the featured expert source in Forbes Health’s guide to assisted living in Peoria, AZ, quoted throughout on senior living costs, care levels, and how to choose the right community.

We do not file your VA claim, and we are not VA-accredited agents. We connect you with an accredited VA benefits resource or Veterans Service Officer who can review your specific situation and handle the application.
Whether or not Aid and Attendance applies, we help you find assisted living, memory care, or in-home care that fits the budget, and we negotiate on your behalf at no cost to your family.
If a veteran is being discharged from the hospital or rehab and needs placement fast, we help you find the right community quickly while you sort out how care will be paid for.
